The Scoop on Visualization

Visualizing is an important part of manifesting any goal. And because – like with anything else in life – there are ways of using this technique that are more effective than others, I thought I´d share a few key tips with you here.

Fair warning, though, the process I´ve outlined below may be a bit more involved than what you´re presently doing to manifest your goals –

Just don´t let that stop you!

Spend 5-10 minutes practicing each day and the results you get will be well worth the effort invested.

Ready to go? Then, let´s make it happen!

Make these tips part of your daily routine and you´ll be amazed at how dramatically your results begin to improve…

To bring anything into your life, imagine that it´s already there.

Thoroughness Counts

Envisioning yourself achieving your goals is really just the beginning…

What a lot of people don´t realize is how much thoroughness counts here. I want you to visualize your life as a whole – including all the changes that will come about as a result of you realizing your goals.

By doing this, you make your vision real enough to become significantly effective.

Here´s an example: imagining a big pile of cash on your dining room table isn’t going to be enough to make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams. After all, if you did have that much money, would you really pile it on your dining room table?

It´s not likely; chances are you´d have a statement showing 7 digit bank balance.

You also want to think about all the ways having that kind of money would change your life as a whole.

Would you still be going to work every day? Would you be working where you are now? Would you be living in the same house? What kind of car would you drive? Would you be hanging around with the same people?

I´m a big fan of journaling, so these are the kinds of questions I use my journal to help me get clear on. That might be something for you to try, too.

Tap Into Your Emotions

While visualizing, you’re likely to feel certain emotions. These emotions are the key to predicting your ultimate success. If you feel confident and excited during your visualization process, you’re well on your way.

However, if you feel any negative emotions, you have some work to do.

  • Do what you can to help you determine where those negative feelings are coming from, so you can deal with them. Make a list of the issues that come up and put together a plan for addressing them.

Do It Often

Let´s be honest, you can´t expect much if you only practice your visualization once a week. A good rule of thumb is to do it at least twice a day.

The best times are before you get out of bed in the morning and before you go to sleep at night. Your mind tends to be more open and relaxed then.

Write It Down

Avoid trying to do it all in your head. Once a week, write out your visualization and be as detailed as you possibly can be.

What are your thoughts? How do you feel? What do you see, hear, taste and smell? Who else is with you?

It’s really worth reading your visualization aloud at least once a day, as well. The more senses and learning modalities you use, the better.

  • Imagine your dreams coming to life. Read them like a story to yourself, and read aloud so you hear them, too. This is far more effective than just occasionally daydreaming about what you want to happen in your life.

When used properly, visualization is a powerful tool.

Make it part of your daily routine. Practice your visualization twice a day, every day and you´re bound to start seeing some significant results.

Remember though, it’s important to visualize your entire life with the new change in place – not just the change itself.

The more complete the visualization, the better your results.

Follow these steps to the letter, then come back and share your results with me here or over on Facebook so we can celebrate your success together!
